Spring Hill, TN: Walt Disney once said, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” This week celebrates the twelve year anniversary of a Spring Hill couple pursuing their dream. On November 10, 2004, Perry and Patsy Coghlan opened their doors at Spring Hill Academy Preschool. This Texas-raised family spent the previous twenty years in Ohio, Florida and Illinois working in successful preschools centered on the Christian faith and excellent instruction. They relocated to middle Tennessee in December of 1999, and established firm roots in Spring Hill in the spring of 2000.
On the first day of operation, the school had a total of just five students and one teacher besides Perry and Patsy. Today the school is home to over 125 students in the preschool and kindergarten programs. While the school has grown dramatically, the mission has remained constant for the past twelve years. Spring Hill Academy Preschool, is a ministry dedicated to serving families with young children. Their goal is to instill in their students the love of Jesus and the love of learning.
Spring Hill Academy Preschool is an affordable option for toddlers through five year-olds in the area. They remain the only preschool in the area to be under the authority of the Department of Education. Thus, SHAP is held to the highest standards of operation and education. Their kindergarten class ensures a smooth transition from the preschool stage to the elementary stage.
Co-Owner, Patsy Coghlan, said her favorite part of working with children, is, “…watching the children’s eyes light up with excitement when they are able to remember their letters or read a book for the first time.” Spring Hill Academy Preschool is dedicated to serving their community, families, and student with excellence and love and joy!
