Curriculum
Spring Hill Academy Preschool uses the Abeka® curriculum which is filled with academic lessons based on biblical values. The curriculum allows us to offer not only a strong, high-quality educational component to your child’s experience, but also a sound formation for their developing moral character. The Abeka® System
We use curriculum materials and resources from the Abeka® system. This system has been used successfully in early childhood educational settings across the nation since 1985. Our Christian-centered curriculum offers a well-rounded approach to early childhood education. Students of all ages experience phonics, numbers, handwriting, math, Bible, Spanish, music, story time, recess, and play time. They also have ample time for art to help refine both gross and fine motor skills.
STEM Building
Children learn best through hands on, sensory based activities! Our K4 and K5 program adds a daily STEM component to our students’ schedule. Students are taught to work together to strategize, build, and problem solve using critical thinking skills in the classroom. Teamwork and creative thinking are emphasized in this interactive time daily.
Infancy & Toddler Care
We welcome infants of six weeks and older in our school setting. They will receive loving attention and care as they spend their days with us. You can be confident that your infant will be cared for as if they were with family.
Toddlers begin their learning adventures right here! Research shows that children can learn and retain large amounts of information if they feel loved, are in a fun environment, and have appropriately trained teachers. Some of our two-year-old students have learned to read! If your toddler is learning to use the bathroom, our staff will assist and support your potty training while they are at school.
Preschool & Kindergarten
To provide the best possible experience for every child and to ensure that each student is working at their optimal level, our preschool program is divided into three sections. Children will start off in our Beginner section and move into the Intermediate and Advanced classes as their skills progress.
You’ll see that each day is fully outlined, including diaper changes and bathroom breaks. Our schedule prevents unnecessary disruptions during the day.
Please note that any child that needs to use the bathroom or requires a new diaper outside of the scheduled time will be taken care of as needed.
